The Wildlife Management class visited the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus. The focus of our trip was learning about management strategies for birds of prey. We were shown an American Kestrel, a Great Horned Owl, and a Barn Owl. Other discussions included federal and state regulations, the endangered species act, DDT and lead poisoning. We also talked about volunteer opportunities for students at the center.
